Project – Safe Place
It is the goal of the Bedford Fire Department, working with The Bridge Emergency Youth Services (The Bridge – 817-335-4673), to provide a safe place for any troubled youth that request our assistance. We will give them a place to stay until a volunteer counselor from the The Bridge arrives.
The Bedford Fire Department has volunteered to cooperate with The Bridge in providing a Safe Place to youth-in-crisis. The Bridge, a State licensed agency, is committed to providing this outreach program offering young people-in-crisis a safe route to professional resources.
We will display the Safe Place sign at each Bedford Fire Station in a highly visible area on the outside of the building. We will also display the Safe Place decal on the entrance door of each fire station.
