Fire Station #1

Fire Station #1 is located at 1816 Bedford Road. The present building was constructed in June of 1987. The building consists of 12,000 square feet and four double deep drive through bays. This station houses T151, a 95' Sutphen Aerial platform, M151, a MICU (Mobile Intensive Care Unit) manufactured by Road Rescue, and Chief 155, the on duty Battalion Chief. This station also houses reserve and support apparatus. Reserve apparatus stored here include E154, a 1995 KME 1500 GPM Engine, Q151, a 1987, 67'+, 1500 GPM Sutphen Quint aerial apparatus and Medic 154, a fully equipped reserve MICU manufactured by Excellance.

Support equipment stationed here are Air-151, a 2003 SVI Light/Air unit and Mobile Command, a 2004 SVI Mobile Command Post. Both these units are detailed elsewhere in this site. Minimum staffing for this station is 6 personnel. 3 assigned to the Truck, 2 to the Medic and 1 as the Battalion Chief.
